Hey, I'm John.
Back in university, in the 2010s, I spent a lot of nights and breaks playing online poker. That's where I picked up an old saying: all you need is a chip and a chair. As long as you're still sitting at the table, you're still in the game.
These days, I have a day job in tech, a wife and kids, so life looks a little different now. The chip is gone, but the chair is still here. Now it's a laptop, and I'm building.
Why now? Because I love building. There's no big plan here. I'm just messing around, trying things and seeing what sticks. Some will work, some won't. Whatever happens, happens.
And with AI, it's more fun than ever. A random idea on a Tuesday night can be something real by the weekend, just to see what it does. Every time I sit down, I learn something new.
Mostly, I'm having fun. Really, the better question is: why not now?
